Princess Masako:Prisoner Of The Chrysanthemum Throne

I recently borrowed a book about the life of the current crown princess of Japan Odawa Masako, better known as Princess Masako. It was named "Princess Masako:Prisoner Of The Chrysanthemum Throne."I had goosebumps b4 I even start to read.By publicizing the "bird cage" lifestyle of the imperial family in Japan,it could have drastic consequences.

Japan citizens might no longer follow and oblige to the words of their beloved emperor anymore. The current emperor Akihito had "severed" the umbilical cord between him and the gods by taking part more in public activities, events etc in an attempt to narrow the gap drawn between him and the population. There was success but not much.BUT this book might be a different case.As Princess Masako is a commoner before she married the Crown Prince Naruhito, the population might be more obliged to believing her words, the secret of the imperial family and how the imperial family is being run.We know there's corruption within Japan in the area of power struggle, but to make this fact known to the public is another matter altogether.

I'm shocked yet excited to read this book.I doubt this will cause too much of an effect to the monarchy system in Japan.General Douglas MacArthur and his trusted aides had put in lots of effort to "purify" Showa Emperor Hirohito for his actions during WWII.The powerful and rich families of Japan are also ensuring that Japan remains this way, with help from the "underworld society".

To see Japan in a world of corruption and bribes is shockingly different from the modernized and trendy country we love.

Scary.
